The growing demand for electricity may lead to a situation in which power plants will not be able to generate the needed energy. Therefore, the goal itself is to minimize the risk of serious energy deficits and prevent large-scale power outages. The most important means of achieving this is the storage of electricity reserves, which will make up for the power plant’s production shortfalls and thus meet current demand at times of increased demand. Unfortunately, in order to make up for energy shortages, it is necessary to obtain funds for the modernization and expansion of power plants, as well as the construction of new facilities. Such actions are aimed not only at replenishing the existing shortages, but in the long run also at stabilizing electricity prices by optimizing production in relation to demand. Funds for this purpose are to be provided by, among others: capacity fee, which warms up Poles because it has a noticeable impact on current bills.
